GROUP SUPERVISION FROM A TRAUMA-INFORMED PERSPECTIVE WITH A SOMATIC FOCUS

For Social Workers (RSWs), Psychotherapists (RP(Q) & RPs)

Psyche & Soma is pleased to offer group supervision for social workers and psychotherapists in Toronto and throughout Canada.

Together, we will explore themes in our clinical work that may include stuck points, ethical issues, transference/countertransference, and any private practice issues. A particular focus will be on “the therapist’s use of self.” Along the way, in this safe community of colleagues, we will deepen our understanding of our clients’ dilemmas, our own strengths and weaknesses, appreciate our victories, and support each other as we encounter challenges. This is an opportunity to learn from and with each other. You will be able to bring cases, questions and queries about clinical or other private practice issues that are on your mind.

A semi-structured approach to the design of the sessions leaves room for all members to play a role in where the work goes and honours the principle of uncertainty in the art of psychotherapy

CRPO approved Supervisor

Groups meet biweekly for a period of 6 months and are capped at 4 participants. Each meeting is 1.5 hours long and costs $75. There will be an opportunity for members to decide if they would like to continue after 6 months.
