Panic Attacks

Do you suffer from panic attacks? Do panic attacks keep you from living your life fully? Do you find yourself avoiding activities for fear of triggering a panic attack?

There are very few experiences in life as debilitating as a panic attack. Unlike an “anxiety attack”, panic attacks seem to come out of nowhere creating a powerful sense of fear and doom. Many people who suffer from panic often confuse them with a heart attack and find themselves in an emergency room.

Historically, medication has been the primary treatment for managing panic. While medication can be extremely helpful, especially in the short run, it is not a great long term solution due to side effects and concerns about long term usage and its role in cognitive decline. Many clients come to us looking for a drug free alternative for managing panic.

How we can help

At Psyche & Soma, we always begin by helping our clients make sense of their experiences. A better understanding of our nervous system is always helpful. Our experience with Neurofeedback training demonstrates that it can effectively eliminate panic attacks. By training the brain for greater neurological stability, clients are free from this debilitating symptom.

Testimonial

“Ava and Daniel helped me through a very difficult period of persistent panic attacks, mounting anxiety, and feelings of sadness and depression. Neurofeedback was the answer I was needing to calm my nervous system and stop the panic attacks. They guided me through their process, offered endless compassion and kindness, and helped me start feeling like myself again. I had sought talk therapy services in the past which I found to not be all that helpful with the anxiety I was experiencing. The neurofeedback sessions allowed me to relax for an hour of the day, since they are quite effortless for the client, and then I would feel the calming benefits sticking around afterwards. After a few weeks there was a noticeable improvement in my mood and general outlook. I highly recommend working with Ava and Daniel to help with anxiety and panic.”
